Captain Zeppos Boutique Suites in the old fishing village of Pollonia. It’s run by Michalis, who knows everything about Milos and is the most hospitable person. It overlooks the sea, it’s only metres away, it was our backyard. Michalis has built a deck for guests to dive off into the water. A highlight was breakfast. There was something different every day, including spanakopita (spinach pie), tiropita (cheese pie), watermelon cake, yoghurt, fruit, olives, eggs, jams, honey, bread- all made by Michalis’s mum with local produce.

O Hamos
O Hammos, our favourite taverna located in a sweet garden in the town of Adamas. Everything was grown in the garden.
Medousa
Medousa a great place where you can hang out with octopuses and then head in for a delicious, mouth-watering meal of grilled octopus and other local favourites such as Greek salad, anchovies, baked fetta, eggplant and a mini bottle of ouzo.

Milos has some of the most stunning beaches.
Some of our other favourite beaches include Sarakiniko for its amazing moonscape, and Fyriplaka.
Sail to Kleftiko, on the southern part of the island. The only way to get there is by boat, it used to be an old pirates’ hideout. You feel this amazing sense of freedom diving off the yacht into the crystal-clear water and snorkelling in the caves. The water glowed different shades of blue depending on the light. It felt like another world.
Astakas in Klima for dinner, it has the most incredible sunset, a taxi is highly recommended for the very narrow and windy road.
