BENVENUTI

~ welcome ~

There’s something about Mediterranean hospitality that feels like a warm hug from a loved one. Behind the hug is a deep history filled with countless moments of love, care, thought and time shared. It can be felt so tenderly through the act of preparing, cooking and setting the table. The thought and time spent in considering the menu, the ingredients and how they will be enjoyed together, with you seated at their table, as their guest, in their home.

This season, ALEX AND TRAHANAS returns with a new edition of hand-painted Italian ceramics that basks in the delight of bringing loved ones together around the table. Each ceramic piece, crafted by the hands of artisans in Puglia, holds the values that sit quietly at the core of Mediterranean culture: love, generosity, comfort, and warmth. These are pieces to be used and lived with. For meals cooked slowly and shared simply, remembering that inviting loved ones around the table is like a warm hug.

An act of love

~

Slow breakfasts in Italy leave a warm and gentle imprint on our memories.

Lunches that stretch into evening begin with thoughtful welcome drinks.

Summer entertaining for loved ones often entails late lunches that stretch into evening.

The gentle choreography of dishes being shared around the table, glasses clinking, and the slow kind of joy that seeps into your skin like sun.

Irresistible dolce, coffee and digestives allow for sweet shared moments.

Effortless aperitivo as the sun softens let the evening linger on.

Photographed by Marco Arguello at Masseria Partemio, a grand, yet rustic masseria in the heart of Puglia. It was here we experienced the empitomy of warm Italian hospitality by the masseria owners Gustavo Antonioni and Marc Nijenhuis who cared and treated us like family, making our stay truly heart warming and memorable.
